AVIC Xi’an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute (FACRI) is founded in 1960 and headquartered in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, which has more than 4000 employees. It is a key high-tech enterprise subordinate to China Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. and the main technology R&D center of navigation, guidance, and control (GNC) of China aviation industry.
After more than 60 years of development, FACRI has gradually formed professional advantages in the domains of unmanned systems, flight control, inertial navigation, unmanned guidance, electronic computers, motion driven, intelligent sensors, etc. Facing the aviation and high-end manufacturing markets, FACRI continues to provide customers with a full spectrum of GNC products and customized GNC system-level solutions.
In recent years, FACRI has actively participated in the development of domestic civil aircraft. Together with Honeywell, Parker Hannifin, Thales, and other international partners, FACRI has provided GNC safety core system products and support services for domestic aircrafts such as C919, CR929, at the same time established civil aircraft system capabilities required by airworthiness.
Nowadays, as a practitioner of the “innovation-driven” development concept, FACRI is accelerating innovation and breakthroughs in the cutting-edge technology domain of aviation GNC. Relying on an open innovation platform, we will create a collaborative and shared innovation model, continue to increase R&D investment in basic technology domains such as artificial intelligence and quantum sensors, and strive to turn the infinite possibilities of the future into the reach of today.
